Muskoka North Campus

From the very beginning of planting Harvest Muskoka our heart has been to see God use our lives and resources to see the gospel impact Muskoka and beyond. Our hearts would echo the Apostle Paul who said, “that by all means I may save some.” (1 Cor. 9:22). This gospel mission informed our giving, our serving and how we did ministry.

Our original plan was to reach regionally while serving locally. We believe that the way to have a large gospel impact in Muskoka is to have more intentionally focused local ministry.

While we were located in Port Sydney we saw great growth in that area of Muskoka and a little growth in southern Muskoka. When we moved to Bracebridge we saw more people impacted by the gospel in that area of Muskoka and the impact lessened in Huntsville and Port Sydney

A few years ago we purchased the piece of land off of the Taylor Rd. exit on Hwy 11 with plans to build a large facility to draw people from all over Muskoka and eventually launch out smaller campuses in each town.

This opportunity of a building in Huntsville allows us to accomplish this goal without the need of a central large church building facility to see it accomplished.

God is continuing to lead us toward the original goal of reaching regionally while serving locally but has sped up the vision with this new opportunity.

We are looking to launch with staggered services so that Pastor Kaj will preach live at both Campuses. If we grow to the point of being able to go to two services, we will need to look at creative ways moving forward.
Outside of normal construction timelines, this will depend on how the financial needs are met.
This is still being worked out. We want to be so careful as we steward God’s resources well and so we do not want to jump ahead without the clearest picture. When we have a clear amount we will share it immediately.
We are looking at those needs prayerfully. We can see the need of a Campus Pastor and possibly some part-time or very involved volunteer help in HK Leadership (we now average 230 kids each Sunday) and Worship.
In Bracebridge we are blessed with such a great facility. So we aren’t rushing into another building project. We will hold onto the land for now. We will pray together as a church family to see whether God would lead us to build on it or sell it and use the profits toward building or renovating another location.

If you have any more questions please ask.

And continue to pray!

We are looking forward to what God will continue to do as He increases His gospel mission in us and through us!

Announcement from Pastor Kaj

“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen!” Ephesian 3:20-21
