Valerie has served for over 30 years in Youth, Kid’s and Women’s ministries. A true foodie at heart, she loves cooking and organizing food for large functions, as well as preparing meals for those in need. A job as the Food Services Manager at Camp MiniYoWe brought her to Muskoka.
Hope for Harvest:
Val started out in Harvest Kids but felt led by the Lord to specifically minister to single moms. As a single mom of five children, Val knew the hardships, loneliness and financial difficulties of raising a family by herself. She yearned to find a way to come alongside other single moms and spearheaded the program, Adopt-a-Family.
Val now leads a team that is devoted to encouraging and walking with single women of all types, through Bible Studies and Small Groups. Val’s hope for Harvest is to see this work grow and spread into the communities and to continue to work with single women … pointing them to the cross and equipping them to look to God’s Word for the answers they need. Val also serves on the Benevolence Team.
